Jagbir S. Natt, DVM, C.C.R.T.

Medical Director

Dr. Natt began practicing veterinary medicine after completing additional studies at Purdue University West Lafayette in 1992. He started working at several different veterinary hospitals in Chicago and the Bay Area before opening his first practice in south San Jose in 1994, Almaden Animal Clinic. Dr. Natt then went on to purchase Serra Veterinary Hospital Inc, in 1999. At this time, Serra Veterinary Hospital had already been established and serving the community of Sunnyvale since 1967.

Dr. Natt’s special interests and focus is orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Some include Knee (Stifle), Patella, fracture repairs, spinal along with an array of soft tissue procedures. Dr. Natt has also completed his CCRT (Certified Canine Rehab Therapist) so he can better help his postoperative orthopedic cases and is a traveling mobile surgeon for the Bay area and Central valley. Dr Natt is a member of the Mobile Veterinary Surgeon Group called S.U.R.G.E. and attends at least a couple of seminars once a year to keep up with the latest technology in the orthopedic field.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Natt likes to spend time with his family, going on a bike ride, yoga and he is a IFR Certified pilot flying his airplane since 2008 and has a great group of aviation friends he has made along the way.

Karanveer Khurmi, DVM

Associate Veterinarian (Relief)

Dr. Khurmi grew up in a medical family and always knew he wanted to combine the challenge of medicine with his love for animals. He was born in Punjab, India, and raised in Alberta, Canada. He attended Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2015. Following graduation, Dr. Khurmi moved out to Wisconsin where he spent three years treating a variety of small animals in an Emergency Critical Care Hospital. He believes in serving the patient and educating the caregivers.

Dr. Khurmi’s clinical interests are Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. He wants to branch out to orthopedic procedures such as TPLO, fracture repairs, and various advanced soft tissue procedures. He loves to travel, meet new people and learn about different cultures across the world. In his spare time, he loves reading up on history and learning and improving his surgical skills.
